Right smack bang in the middle of Portstewart Promenade, The Porthole is the perfect base for your Portstewart holiday - whether you're here to see our famous sights, play some golf, visit film locations, enjoy the surf or spectate at the North West 200, theres no better place to stay. Being situated halfway up the prom away from the noise of the town’s nightlife you are guaranteed a sound nights sleep in any of our big sturdy beds.
Barry & Lauren are a funny couple. Lauren has a degree in fashion but turned to upholstery after being laid off from her fashion designing job in the economic downturn of 2008. She has her own workshop & show room in neighbouring Coleraine where you will find her sewing away between handovers. Barry works in the offshore oil & gas industry as a deep sea diver. Before Stella came along (8 months old at the time of writing) the couple would spend Barry's shore leave travelling across the world staying in many weird & wonderful places booked through Airbnb & Booking
The Portholes location is particularily spoilt for choice when it comes to eateries, cafes and nightlife. Restaurants are particularly competitive when it comes to quality & price. A bus stop is around 200 metres away & there are numerous taxi’s available at competitive rates. However with Portstewart on your doorstep most things within the town is accessible by foot.
