Company information

Marion and Gerry welcome guests to The Stables. Marion has a lot of experience in running holiday accommodation and in the past has been a domestic science teacher and restauranteur. Gary is a retired oil and gas project engineer. Both are keen on cooking food and wine and Marion is a keen upholsterer and quilter. In the past they were both keen walkers and have a large number of walking books available to guests.

Property information

The Stables is situated in a very quiet area and is enclosed in a walled garden. The centre of town is a five minute walk away. There is easy access to the Lake District National Park by car. There is limited access to the lake district National Park by public transport. By car there is also access to the Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool and Morecambe. Blackpool and morecambe are also accessible by rail.

Neighbourhood information

Within easy distance of the house are the Laurel and Hardy Museum, The Lake Disrtrict National Park, The Lakeland Aquarium, Dalton Wild Life Park and the Barrow Docklands Museum. The whole of the Lake District walks are within easy reach as are the Ulverston Golf Club and a large Leisure and Tennis Centre. For those into peace and quiet there is a short distance out of town a Bhuddhist Teaching Temple that is open to the public. There are numerous eating places and pubs both in Ulverston and the National Park.
