Ornumville is a quaint, traditional Scottish cottage - if you're looking for a comfortable break with amazing views and the ability to just 'switch off' - this could be for you!

Property info

Sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, this quaint, traditional Scottish self-catering cottage in Inveraray offers a unique retreat.  With views out over Loch Fyne from both bedrooms as well as the dining and living room, where could be better to wake up?! The property enjoys an unrivalled view, and we often find ourselves just gazing out the window at the ever-changing landscape.  It provides its own, unique sort of relaxation.  With WiFi, it allows you to keep in touch with home if required too. Bring a good book (or borrow one of ours!), and use your time at the cottage to escape your daily stresses.  If you're looking for pampering too, the Loch Fyne Spa is just round the corner (2 minute walk), offering a variety of treatments as well as a Spa Day Pass with access to their swimming pool and facilities. Located beside Loch Fyne, the cottage is perfect for fishing - mackerel fishing can be done from the shore, or the pier and is free of charge. It is also popular with those bringing kayaks/sit-on canoes, or SUPs (these can be stored in the back garden).. With a good central location, Ornumville sits in the outskirts of Inveraray - only a 5 minute stroll to the shops/restaurants/bars, but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. Inveraray offers a whole host of great places to eat and drink, along with some of the best visitor attractions in the area. Take a trip to Inveraray Jail or Castle; then walk up to Dun-na-Cuaiche - the tower that sits over the village; have dinner in The George, then watch the sun set over Loch Fyne. With a good central location, it is around an hour up to Oban (with ferries to the various islands of the Inner & Outer Hebrides) - and it is also well placed for exploring both Kintyre and the Cowal peninsula. We do not allow pets in this property, so it is suitable for those with allergies.

Neighborhood info

With a good central location, Ornumville sits in the outskirts of Inveraray - only a 5 minute stroll to the shops/restaurants/bars, but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle.   Ornumville is also the perfect base for exploring the rest of Argyll. We are around an hour to Oban (with ferries to various Inner & Outer Hebrides locations); an hour to Dunoon; just under an hour to Tarbert (nearby ferry to Arran or Islay); just over an hour to the Gigha ferry at Tayinloan.
