Gorgeous little bunkhouse with everything you need. I stayed with my 3 Daughters & we had a lovely time, the board games were a nice touch. We star gazed, stayed up late by the fire making Smores and enjoyed the views. Visited the waterfall near...

The absolute peace and quiet. The setting was lovely. The bunkhouse had everything we needed. It also provided wood for the outside fire. We didn't get to use as we had a short visit but thought was a great idea.

Very clean. A serene location and friendly, accommodating hosts. Loved the sounds of the little stream and being able to do the BBQ with real wood. The stars were clearly visible- not so much in London where we currently reside. We were soothed by...

Beautifully situated and exceptionally clean - this was such a great place to hide away with the family for a few days on our way further into wales. Loads of serenely quiet scenery nearby, and this little bunkhouse was perfect for the family.

Wild Valley Huts is nestled in Maengwynedd, a Welsh sheep farming valley. The valley is absolutely stunning, with luscious rolling fields and a meadering river running through it against a backdrop of the more rugged Berwyn Mountains. It is truely a location of no noise, no stress; just peace & quiet. We have been here for 3 years since July 2021. We'd been on a huge house search and when we visited Wild Valley Huts, this was the one. That was a good job as it was house number 27 we looked at and we were beginning to lose motivation but seeing this inspired and excited us. We wanted to be here. The scenery, views, nature & tranquility makes this place special. We didn't want to keep this hidden gem to ourselves but share it with others, with guests staying with us. The accommodation is decorated to a high standard and made to give guests a cosy, homely feel. With wood burning stoves in the huts and underfloor heating in the bunkhouse no guest needs to worry about having a chilly stay. We provide fresh bedlinen and comfy blankets & cushions for a good nights sleep. Here there is no light pollution, just darkness; no noise, just hush - all the ingredients for guests to have a restful sleep. Guest Comment: 'This really is a little slice of heaven.'
Hello and thank you for looking at our accommodation at Wild Valley Huts. Whether it be a shepherd Hut or the Wild Valley Bunkhouse you are looking at, we are delighted to welcome guests to stay & be immersed in the nature and scenery on our doorstep. It's a place for adventurers or a relaxing countryside retreat and Graeme & I love both so can relate to guests wants and needs depending on the type of holiday they would like! Graeme is from Newcastle and loved (maybe too strong a word) took part in many triathalons, ironmans and swim/run events. Being a keen swimmer, he took part in outdoor swims but wasn't keen on the North Sea and prefers warmer waters of local lakes. I'm from Cheshire and loved running on anything but a road, hill, trail running were a passion. From Wild Valley Huts you are a stones throw away from all of these activities, walking & running in the Berwyn Hills and many places nearby, swimming in Bala Lake, cycling the scenic lanes or biking at the Revolution Park, only 20mins away. We have two labradors, Maverick & Goose, and enjoy exploring with them in the rural and remote valleys. They like anywhere with water including the famous Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall 15 mins away, which is Britain's highest single drop waterfall at 80metres, Lake Vyrnwy with it's own beautiful waterfall & great for cycling or kayaking & paddle boarding. On arrival we have no formal check in, guests let themselves in and make themselves feel at home. A key is left for their use during their stay. Guests recieve a couple of useful emails prior to their arrival including what's on the area that may be of interest during their stay, information about the local area and recommendations of places to visit as well as directions to use for an easy journey. If guests have any questions, they can call or email and we're happy help.
Our neighbourhood is a small farming community. In the valley there are about 11 properties, which are mostly farms. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. We have a 'Wild Valley Top 3 Recommendations' so guests can experience some of the highlights in and around the area. Here's a little peek: The Best Pub... 3 miles/10mins The Hand Inn at Llanarmon is an ancient hostelry and all the classic ingredients are here – old beams, roaring fireplaces, a casual mix-and-match of pine and oak furniture, real ale and good food. You don't have to go for a meal: you're welcome to drop in for coffee or tea or a pint of foaming ale. The Best Place to Visit... 7 miles/20mins Pistyll Rhaeadr is an enchanting waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains, just near Llanrhaeadr-Ym- Mochnant. At 240ft (80m) high it is Britain's tallest single-drop waterfall, captivating all who visit her. A short walk to the waterfall or a longer walk to the top of the falls. The Best Historic Place... 15miles/35 mins Chirk Castle is a magnificent medieval fortress. With over 700 years of history, and as the last castle from this period still lived in today, Chirk Castle has lavish interiors and a beautiful and eclectic collection. In the castle gardens indulge your senses and refresh your spirit with a gentle wander amongst the scents and seasonal colours of the rare shrubs and flowers in the 5.5 acre garden. The Best Family Day... 18miles/40mins The British Iron Work sculpture park is the UK’s largest metal safari park with over 100 sculptures on display, they also have a fabulous collection of art for you to explore which are exhibited throughout the grounds. From the Knife Angel & the Iron Guardian to the Spoon Gorilla and galloping horses, each piece is completely breath-taking. The current display includes; the Spoon Gorilla which has been made from 40,000 spoons and an extinction trail of metal animals. ...and there are many more recommendations available.
