Carolyn
An award winning barn conversion, full of character and original features. Y Beudy at Dan y Graig has been lovingly transformed into a striking modern dwelling. Guests will have the whole building to themselves, featuring a spacious lounge area with mezzanine, bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served in the oak-framed conservatory with panoramic countryside views. The barn is conveniently situated on the A484 just 3 miles from the market town of Carmarthen. Your host Carolyn, lives next door at Dan y Graig farmhouse and is always available to meet your requirements. The 18th century barn has exposed beams and stonework and is very tastefully decorated with Welsh slate floors and oak. It has underfloor heating throughout, which is heated by an environmentally friendly ground source heat pump, and fibre broadband. The barn is set in spacious gardens and enjoys lovely countryside views over the lower Towy valley towards Pembrokeshire and the Preseli mountains. Hen feudy fferm Dan y Graig sydd wedi ei drawsnewid i fod yn lety gwely a brecwast trawiadol. Mae wedi ei addurno'n chwaethus gyda lloriau llechi a grisiau a drysau deri ac mae golygfeydd godidog.
Carolyn is always on hand to deal with any queries. A former teacher, who has lived and worked in the area throughout her life, she is fluent in Welsh, English and French. She is well-traveled and familiar with the needs of visitors. She serves a delicious breakfast using carefully selected local Welsh produce and will also be able to advise you on the best restaurants and places to visit in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Bydd Carolyn wastad ar gael i ymateb i'ch gofynion, a bydd yn paratoi brecwast blasus yn defnyddio cynnyrch lleol Sir Gâr.
Y Beudy at Danygraig is set between the villages of Cwmffrwd and Idole just three miles from Carmarthen, which is home to national broadcaster S4C and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. The market town of Llandeilo is just 18 miles up the Towy valley; a picturesque journey past Dryslwyn and Dinefwr castles, and the excellent restaurants Y Polyn and Wright's. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is only ten miles away. One of Wales's top tourist attractions, Pembrey Country Park, is just 11 miles to the east. The Sunday Times' best beach in Britain, Tenby, is less than 30 miles to the west, as is Narberth with its pretty boutiques. Dylan Thomas's boathouse in Laugharne is 15 miles away. It's just ten minutes by car to Ferryside, which has wonderful views across the Towy estuary towards Llansteffan castle. A recently relaunched ferry service takes passengers by boat to Llansteffan. Mae'r llety mewn llecyn cyfleus, rhyw dair milltir o dre Caerfyrddin sy'n gartre i Bencadlys S4C a Phrifysgol y Drindod Dewi Sant. Mae'n agos iawn hefyd at Barc Gwledig Penbre, yr Ardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol a llawer o brif atyniadau Sir Gâr.
