The Cottage is situated in the rural hamlet of Wraxall with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. It is fully self-contained with an Aga and beautiful terrace with outdoor furniture and lighting for your enjoyment. There is ample car parking space, with room for one car to be parked under-cover.
We have recently finished re decorating the cottage and converting it into a luxurious holiday cottage with open plan living areas and we are really pleased with the result. We think you will be as well. I have lived in the area for fifteen years and have quite a bit of local knowledge. If not, I know who to ask! I am only next door if you need me, but obviously I would respect your privacy. The nearby village Ditcheat is home to the racing stables of Champion National Hunt trainer Paul Nicholls. There are many local walks and the view from the top of Wraxall Hill is quite spectacular.
The mainline train station to London is situated at Castle Cary just four miles away. The world-renowned Glastonbury festival is about 1 mile from Yew Tree Farm and the Bath and West showground is approximately 3 miles away. Other attractions nearby include Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey hole caves, the Somerset levels and the Mendip hills.
