El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon is our beachfront three-level, three suite vacation rental on the eastern side of Caribe Bight on the island of Roatan.
El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon has easy access to the bay via our own private dock. Our 200' of private oceanfront includes a small private sandy beach and hundred feet of a protected mangrove forest.
El Palacio Rosa is literally right next door to the mangrove tunnels and what locals call "Blue Lagoon" - a large crystal clear lagoon book-ended by the mangrove tunnels. Kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing with 3 stunning reefs and a shipwreck you can snorkel to right from the dock.
El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon is surrounded by dense jungle forest and a sparsely populated bay. Backed up against the forest you can hear the activity in the jungle. We have SPECTACULAR sunsets. Watch eagle rays leap out of the water, turtles swim in the bay and dolphins proposing at the point - as the jungle sings amazing and beautiful sounds as the sun goes down.
The 3BR suite is a fully furnished 1,800 SF 3-bedroom 2-bath suite supporting up-to 9 guests with wrap-around sunset-facing balcony. The 2BR suite is a fully furnished 800 SF 2-bedroom 1-bath suite supporting up-to 5 guests and sunset facing patio - just steps from the pool. Both are fully independent, and self-sustaining suites with 10" concrete walls insulating sound between the suites. Special "two-fer" rates can be applied for renting both the 3BR and 2BR simultaneously.
The pool's infinity edge is facing SW overlooking the bay with views clear to the mainland over the large tanning-deck that extends out over the bay.
With three incredible reefs, a shipwreck and mangrove tunnels right off the dock - it is truly beautiful. The host swims his one-mile "home-run" route over those three reefs and the shipwreck daily.
Where does that happen?
Right here. Book now.
The owners, Jeff and Karen, occupy the top-floor suite when visiting the island. Jorque is the on-site property manager (and has his own private residence on property) and is almost always available. Guests may share the outside of the property with the owner or guests from the other suite.
We have incredible views from almost every part of the property: the sundeck, balcony, patio, the yard and La Rosa (the large palapa on the dock) - all facing the most amazing sunsets over a quiet bay night after night.
The entire property has undergone renovations with new furnitures, fixtures, and AC. While considered "east end", Caribe Bight (our oceanfront bay) is centrally located to accessing and experiencing the ENTIRE Roatan.
Jeff and Karen are take significant pride in what they've re-built the "The Pink Palace" into - and want our guests to experience its uniqueness and beauty, both above and below the water, and its central beachfront-jungle location for themselves.
This is where your best memories will be made.
The bay is spectacular with three reefs, a shipwreck and the mangrove tunnels & lagoon within swimming distance of the dock. The water in the bay is spectacularly clean and healthy - with few homes on the bay, no large fleets of large trawlers, and no "island plumbing" dumping waste into the bay.
We have three kayaks, a paddle board, several sets of new snorkel gear, extra swimmer markers, and a few tubes for our guests to share if you want to float/paddle/snorkel in the bay. From out in the bay all you see are beautiful homes spaced across the bay - backed into the privacy and quietness of the Honduran Jungle.
And when you're done with your amazing day discovering the magic of our bay, it's reefs and its mangrove mysteries, there are freshwater showers and dunk tanks at the dock to rinse you and your gear off.
Inside our private "dive shop" we have 15 "lockers" to hang gear to dry and store. A few are used by the host and neighbors for storing their gear. If you're an experienced diver you might get invited to see the local owners favorite spots. Two of them include world class spots - Calvin's Crack and Caribe Wall, less than 5 minutes from our dock.
We are MUCH closer to several of the more popular tourist attractions than West End and have relationships with several entertainment providers including:
- Sloth, Macaw, Monkey and Native Rescue encounters as well as Jungle Zip Lining, Quad and Horse-Riding Tours.
- Fishing/Boat Tours: We can arrange with a few of the better boating and fishing outlets including if you're interested in going around the island or visiting any of the islands in the Bahia.
- We are 20 minutes away from beautiful Paya Bay Restaurant and Beach (clothing optional and phenomenally beautiful beach) and 30 minutes away from World Class Kite Surfing at Camp Bay.
We enjoy music at "Trico Bar and Grill" and discussing world events with Captin' Ed and playing with Chewie the monkey at the world-renowned "Hole in the Wall" bar and grill.
