Maksimilian is our life time project. Since it is difficult to be objective about something you love, we will use review our guest wrote: "Everything about this place greatly exceeded my expectations. Owned and maintained by nice and friendly couple who managed to transfer their spirit and enthusiasm to their staff, and result could not fail. For those expecting "penguin crowded" hotels, please be advised. This is not such place. Warm and scenic, with individual approach to each customer residing. One, easily, could get feeling as part of family rather than a guest. May I advise this place to all willing to find this experience. "

Maksimilian is picturesque bed and breakfast, situated in the very centre of the old, baroque part of Osijek („Tvrđa“- The Fortress). A distinctive Austro- Hungarian touch of the Art Nouveau style, individual approach and modern facilities at reasonable prices, make us ideal accommodation for short business trips, family visits, weekend breaks… Maksimilian is a relaxed, romantic and hopefully inspiring place to stay, miles away from the big hotels with lots of stars. Luckily, our guests are our stars!

Neighbourhood information

Maksimilian is situated in the centre of the historic part of Osijek, „Tvrđa“-The Fortress. It is a colorful part of the city with the restaurants , cafés, museums (Museum of Slavonia, Archeological museum), night life but still, our rooms are orientated in a way to provide you a good sleep. Drava river is just 5 minutes walking distance.
