A fabulous location and it was a very clean and comfortable house to be in! Felt like being at home. The host was kind enough to leave us some homemade muffins and even just the little touches in the house like the hair straighteners, brochures...

Paulyne
Four bedroom detached private property with spectacular Burren views. Located on an elevated site 1.9km from the village of Kilfenora, home of the Kilfenora Ceile Band and Gateway to the Burren National Park. Hill House is within easy access of all local attractions, i.e. Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, day trip available to The Aran Islands, Ailwee & Doolin Cave, Ballyvaughan, Lahinch Beach and its championship golf course to mention but a few. The village itself has two grocery stores, bars and restaurant at Vaughans Pub ideal for occasional dining with an extensive menu.
Paulyne, is available to meet with you, but as any experienced host she values your privacy and provides a self checkin to award you her valued guests the flexibility that does not interfere with your holiday itinerary.
Hill House with its rural location awards the discerning guest peace and tranquility allowing you time to commune with nature in the immediate environs. Whether you enjoy the spectacular views almost 360 degree, the occasional fox, hare or pheasant the crosses your path, country walks along the winding avenue there is something here for everyone. Observe the ponies in the adjoining fields, securely gated for your safety as they keep their distance. Find yourself in the village where you can have some refreshments at the cafe, bar or restaurant. The Burren Centre provides a sneak peak of what is in store for you before you take a trip and enjoy the National Park with its vast array of geographical land forms, flowers & fauna unique alone to this area. In the village itself you will find High Crosses and a Cathedral. On the outskirts of the village you will see Lemenagh Castle and the turning for Poulnabrone Dolmen as you go deeper into the Burren heading towards Carron and Ballyvaughan not forgetting the spectacular view from the top of the corkscrew hill over Galway Bay. From the village follow the road towards Ennistymon, through to the seaside village of Lahinch, towards Liscannor its bay and follow along the Wild Atlantic Way. Doolin village where you can happen upon an impromptu Irish music session and make your way if the notion takes you on board Doolin Ferries to experience The Aran Islands and the truly memorable experience of the cliffs from the sea with their gulls and guillemots nesting on the sheer cliff edges diving into the sea to catch their fill of fish. Ailwee Cave is a wonderful day out for all the family and don't forget the Birds of Prey experience!! Lahinch is a fantastic place to try your hand at surfing with a selection of surf schools available. No holiday is complete without a trip to the famous Cliffs of Moher, call to the interpretative centre and enjoy a walk to O'Brien's tower at the top of the steps.
