Island Winds is a tastefully decorated house overlooking Bartra Island and within walking distance from the heart of Killala village. Island Winds is also located along the Wild Atlantic Way and along the Monasteries of the Moy Greenway and Cycle Route and is a perfect location to explore Rosserk and Moyne Abbey. Island Winds is a 4 star Fáilte Ireland approved self-catering property. The house can sleep a total of 9 people in 5 bedrooms, three of which are ensuite. The spacious kitchen enables visitors to cook their finest cuisine by using modern appliances, such as an oven and hob. There is an outside laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Island Winds offers considerable enclosed garden space, with on-site table tennis making it perfect for family getaways. Oil and electricity are meter read upon arrival and departure. Free Wi-Fi is available. The stunning Ross beach is under a 10-minute drive away, with Killala childrens playground, tennis and basketball courts being just a 2-minute drive away. Island Winds is a 5 to 10-minute walk to Killala village, 8 km to Ballina town and 40 minute drive to Knock airport. Sky and BT Sports and TV channels are available in many languages.
While cycling from Killala to Ballina, discover the Monasteries of the Moy (Rathfran, Moyne, and Rosserk) with the sun on your face and the wind at your back. The playground, tennis courts, and basketball courts in Killala Town Park are perfect for kids to run, climb, swing, and have a fantastic time! Killala is a fishing haven with a long history in the sea. Try your hand at deep-sea or beach fishing, or go trout & salmon fishing on the Palmerstown River!
