Located in a small village in southern Iceland, Hotel Hvolsvollur - Central South Iceland is surrounded with impressive natural phenomena and world famous tourist attractions. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall is one of many waterfall situated close to Hvolsvöllur. It is 60 metres high and visitors can enjoy the view from behind the descending water. The Hekla Volcano is also visible from Hvolsvöllur and there’s an outdoor swimming pool heated by natural geothermal energy in the village. Beautifully situated, Hvolsvollur is an ideal location for further day trips around the southern part of the country. Remember to visit the Mýrdal glacier and one of the most beautiful sites in Iceland, Thorsmörk, that consists of amazing mountains and glaciers. The hotel enjoys an historical setting. This is where Njal's Saga took place in the 10th century.
