Immersed in the magical atmosphere of the northern part of Salento and surrounded by olive groves and a few steps away from the sea, Sogno Salentino is the ideal starting point to discover an unspoilt area of Puglia in history of ancient Greece. The interiors that are furnished with refined simplicity make Sogno Salentino the ultimate residence for every guest to feel like being home, in the name of confidentiality and good living. Lodging at Sogno Salentino is like living in the pulsating heart of Salento since it is located just a few kilometers from places of major interest and charm of this land: for instance, the city of Matera with its popular Sassi of Matera, that is going to be the European capital of culture 2019, is only 100 kilometres away. We always had a common dream which was to plan a life together…drop everything and start from scratch, or at least start from afresh and together create something of our own. So we began to search for a place where we could develop our project and watch it grow and after having evaluated the most diverse locations we decided to quit both our jobs (after so many years spent in a hospital and in an office) our mountains and also our loved ones to make the move to Lizzano, a small village in Salento just a short walk from a crystalline sea that rivals even the Caribbean for beauty. Our very own Sogno Salentino which aimed to combine the traditions and tastes of the local region with the sobriety and elegance of South Tyrol.
The Salento coast is an important connection between Lama (a village in the province of Taranto) and Leuca (a village close to Castrignano del Capo). This route is one of a kind because of all the stunning and wonderful beaches located along its 146 km length. The first part of this route connecting Lama to Marina di Leporano is long 5,6 km and is called Litoranea Salentina Nord. Here there is only one beach, which is worth considering. The remaining part is actually the Litoranea Salentina. In 89,4 km from Saturo, an historical village with an old tower, to Gallipoli, the road passes through several touristic villages.
