Originally built as the family home, Villa Maria (Villa della Contessa) is steeped in history and embraces the rich traditions of the region known as "The Marche". The Marche is a vast treasure trove of cultural diversity and is steeped in history. The region embraces the Adriatic side of the Umbria-Marche Apennines’, yet in contrast features low-lying, sandy beaches. An art historian and antiquities expert, Mr. Cotroneo can create personalized, private art and history tours of the Marche, with visits to exceptional dining favorites typical to the region. Mr. Cotroneo was born and raised in Rome and his heritage dates back through many generations. Villa Maria is the original name of my property. It was necessary to initiallly list the property as "Villa della Contessa". Having the highest hillside position in the Corridonia countryside, the terrace view is over 60 kilometres-sea to mountains. The property is surrounded by an abundance of fruit trees and a garden, home to a pleasing variety of roses, perennials, and flowers. Olive trees and persimmons accent the property. Built in 1913 Villa Maria warmly opens its doors to its guests with a unique variety of apartment suites. In the pleasantly landscaped area surrounding the villa, relax and enjoy the countryside panorama or exit the property for a leisurely stroll to the nearby public garden and park at the villa Fermani. The historic town centre is a short stroll with period buildings dating back to the 13th Century. Visit the Church and Gallery of St. Peter, Paul and Donato.
