About this property

Open from March 2015, Ebisu Ryokan is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. The completely nonsmoking property offers modern Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven straw) floors. Cozy yet functional rooms with in-room WiFi feature Japanese-style futon bedding and a low table with seating cushions. It also comes with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle. The private bathroom is equipped with free toiletries and a hairdryer for your convenience. Guests can make a 15-minute train ride to visit the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine or a 17-minute drive to the Shijo Area, a big entertainment and shopping zone. The Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 30-minutes away via public transportation. A coin launderette and a a concierge service are available on site. Guests who wish to book tours or local restaurants should inquire at the concierge. Meals are not provided; however, multiple dining options are available within a walking distance.

Ebisu Ryokan is a small, modern Japanese style hotel located in the quiet backstreets of Kyoto Station. From our ryokan, it is only a short 5min walk to the station. All our rooms have futons and tatami, for a real Japanese experience! In order to maintain the tranquility of a traditional ryokan setting, Ebisu Ryokan regretfully DOES NOT accommodate child under 3 years of age. ONE child 3 to 6 years of age may stay for free when they share bedding and towels. Children 6+ years of age will incur the same fee as an adult.
Everyone at Ebisu speaks English, and some of our staff also speak Chinese, Spanish and French and will be there to help you out should you have any questions during your stay. We also all love Kyoto and would like to share this with you!
The area around the station has a big shopping center, bars and restaurants, and is extremely convenient for transportation (bus/subway/trains) to all the tourist attractions in town!
