The scenery of Asuka, the first capital of Japan, has been protected by the Asuka Law for 1400 years. There is a nostalgic Japanese landscape that will soothe your heart. The inn is located in Asuka, Asuka Village, the center of the village. Roasted cedar from Yoshino is used for the exterior of the inn, and it is finished with plaster. The interior uses fittings and stairs relocated from an old folk house built more than 100 years ago, and a single panel of Yoshino cedar. The interior is finished with traditional Japanese tatami mats, tokonoma alcoves, decorative pillars, and numerous props, making it an accommodation facility where you can feel Japanese tradition everywhere. Nearby are Asuka-dera Temple, the oldest in Japan, and Asuka-za Shrine, whose name is mentioned in the Nihon Shoki, so you can feel the history from ancient times.
I like traveling where I can travel as if I were living in a country and learn about the lifestyle of that country. En Asuka is a traditional Japanese house where you can feel nostalgic and Japanese-like.
