Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. The hotel has 5 hot-spring baths and serves local specialties for dinner. Shoji paper screens, tatami (woven-straw) floors and views of greenery add to the zen flavor of each air-conditioned room. A yukata robe is provided. All rooms have a private toilet, and some rooms have a private bathroom. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Yunishikawa-Onsen Train Station. Heike Village Museum is just a 10-minute walk away. Ryuokyo Canyon is a 40-minute drive, and Nikko Toshugu Shrine is 31 mi away. A private hot-spring bath can be reserved, for a fee. You can relax at the library, take a stroll in the garden or browse the unique items in the gift shop. Japanese style breakfast and set-menu dinner are served at the hotel’s dining room.

We offer plans that include dinner and breakfast for all room types. "Superior room types" offer the HonkeBankyu's standard hearth-style kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast. "Rooms with private bathroom types" offer a standard hearth-style kaiseki dinner with an additional dish of "specially selected Japanese beef". A Japanese-style breakfast is served. "Rooms with Semi Open-Air Bath ", " Rooms with Open-Air Bath " and " Suite with Spa Bath " with hot spring bathrooms offer an upgraded hearth-style kaiseki dinner including "Specially Selected Japanese Beef". An upgraded Japanese breakfast is served. *** If you have any allergies to ingredients, please let us know at least 3 days before your stay. We may be able to change individual items such as "soba" or raw fish, but we cannot change multiple ingredients, remove wheat, soybeans, milk, eggs, or broth, or change seasonings. (We use wheat in our broth and seasonings.) Also, we cannot change ingredients based on likes and dislikes, so please understand.
