Oleadas Maderas is a collective of rental units in the hills of playa Maderas. All our units are just a 5-minute-walk away from the beach. Oleadas Maderas consists of 4 rentals; a studio that sleeps 2 (1x king or 2x single beds) with its own kitchenette, small seating area, bathroom and private garden, and 3 bungalows that sleeps 2 (1x king or 2x single) with its own kitchen, living room, bathroom and patio+garden or terrace. Two of the units, Teka 1 and 2, have air conditioning in the bedroom and ceiling fans in the main area. There other units are equipped with just ceiling fans.
I am originally from Amsterdam, but moved to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua in 2004 with my partner in crime Marc. Now we raise our family here and we host guests from all over the world! Being creative is what I love to do: I design clothes for our kids, I make most of the home decor for our rental units and I love cooking and baking.
The playa Maderas' area is a tight community of a few small restaurants, b&bs and stores. The playa Maderas area is 8KM away from San Juan del Sur. There are shuttles driving to and from town several times a day. Make sure to shop for groceries on your way in; although there are several restaurants at playa Maderas, there are no grocery stores closeby (closest is 15 minutes on foot)!
