A spacious three bedroom modern luxurious executive style holiday home that sleeps 6, set in pristine unspoilt native bush and palm trees. Completely private on a quiet road with very little through traffic. The beach and a kids playground is at the end of the street (only a couple of hundred metres easy walk). Only a few minutes drive from the Matiatia passenger ferry and the world class Cable Bay and Mudbrick vineyards. Set over three levels with sea views from the lounge, modern designer kitchen and the two decks. Sleeps six in two queen sized beds (all with new (December 2016) super comfortable Sealy Posturepedic innersprung mattresses) and 1 X 2 bunks - with new (December 2016) innersprung matresses. The large designer kitchen is truly luxurious and features stone bench tops, a Rocket espresso machine, dishwasher, new microwave and large double fridge freezer. Two modern bathrooms - one an ensuite with shower and the second one with a shower over the bath tub. Free wi-fi / Netflix and an awesome speaker system. Wide sliding doors open from the open plan lounge to a large deck with a view of the bay.
Hi Originally from the South Island of New Zealand, we are based in Auckland city. Dave's owns an Auckland based software company and Fiona works in freight forwarding for a furniture company. Fiona is a keen runner and cyclist and has probably been on every running track and road on Waiheke Island. Dave is an enthusiastic boatie and can usually be found either in one of Waiheke Island's idyllic bays trying (usually not to successfully) to catch a fish for dinner, or chilling out with a glass of one of Waiheke's fantastic wines. We both absolutely love Waiheke and spend as much time there as possible. Dave and Fiona
What we love about Waiheke is - its so close to downtown Auckland (only about 35 minutes by the passenger ferry - and yet it could be a million miles away) - the wine and the vineyards - the great restaurants and food - the amazing beaches, native bush and bird life - there are no traffic lights - there is no stress (well that's what we like to think - at the ferry terminal there is a sign that says - Slow Down You Are Here - which we think sums up things nicely) - oh - and did we mention the wine and vineyards?
