Located at the third floor (no elevator) of this large private villa, this holiday home penthouse offers a beautiful view towards the ocean facing west (where the sun sets) and over the port inlet of Skärhamn. This accommodation is arranged as self catering, meaning it is on the tenant to handle their own cleaning on departure and also to bring personal towels and bedsheets. The apartment has one bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath tub and a balcony. The house have a large garden which is accessible for guests. In the garden you can have a barbeque or just relax. The house is located just by the main road, easy to reach, and have a bus stop close to it.
We are a family with three children aged 11-17, and this is our summer house. We live on the first floor of the house during part of the summer. Rest of the year we live in Gothenburg. Our interest is the sea/beach, sports and spending time with friends and family.
Skärhamn is located on the island Tjörn, 60 km north of Gothenburg. It is a vivid community during summer time, with restaurants and shops. There is a large grocery store, systembolaget (where you purchase alcoholic beverages in Sweden), pharmacy and the Nordiska Akvarellmuseet (art). There are two public beaches in Skärhamn, one is just 200 meters away from our house. Close to Skärhamn you find Pilane sculpture park and many other beautiful places to visit and explore.
