Casa Umoja is a quiet comfortable special place to stay in Nungwi, North coast of Zanzibar island located in the Indian ocean, East-Africa. Our 1 storey ROUND HOUSE thatched by beautiful traditional Makuti (woven palm leaves) has 4 rooms, 3 rooms on the ground floor, 2 family rooms on the first floor. Additionally there are 4 spacious bungalows embedded in our lush tropical garden. All our rooms and bungalows are uniquely styled and equipped with en-suite bathrooms, WC/hot shower, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and private terraces. Casa Umoja was built with the intention to create a comfortable, spacious, quiet place for retreat of individual travellers, families and groups alike. A perfect spot for relaxation and exchange among travellers who are keen on discovering the treasures of Zanzibar ... To encourage community activities Casa Umoja offers a beautiful Makuti roof thatched OPEN SPACE (Yoga studio) which is available to all our guests for yoga, meditation, dance and all kinds of gatherings ... Rental for yoga retreats and other group events can be arranged at any time. We look very much forward to welcoming you as part of the Casa Umoja experience! ;))

Casa Umoja is situated just a few steps from a beautiful white sandy stretch of Nungwi beach where you will find everything the amazing spice island offers to interested travellers. You may enjoy swimming and sun bathing all day long as well as all kinds of water sports activities (dive centres) and much more according to your interest ... The distance to Nungwi village is only about 500 metres. There are supermarkets and a pharmacy and other small shops of any kind ...
