Boston born-and-raised. I work the "numbers racket" during the day working in finance, but I used to "play" Army (spent 8 years in special operations). I believe in spaces and places that provide restorative calm, allowing people to enjoy "being in the middle of it, while away from it all."

Come relax at "Big Red," sitting on 5 acres at the base of Mt. Kearsarge situated between Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mt! Enjoy all the seasons here with 20 minutes to ski mountains and 10 minutes to the lake! After a long day of skiing, take a dip in the hot tub or relax by the fire (pit or place)! New London is a must visit town! This charming town is full of shops, restaurants, and beautiful mountain views! Quintessentially New Hampshire: you can enjoy all of what the Granite State is intended to offer - lake life, mountain climbs, hikes, golf, and great eats/brew - all within a stone's throw from the front door.

Sunapee and New London are tranquil by design. The area is distinct in its offering as compared to the more "lively" lakes to the East, and that probably is why you're looking "here" vs. "there."
