Spectacularly rebuilt in 2023, this waterfront home brings the chic style of a modern farmhouse to the most classic of Maine settings. Here on the shores of Phillips Lake, you'll spend memorable days playing with your kids on the private beach, dropping fishing lines from the dock, and taking dips in the lake's cool waters in the pebble-bottom swim area. This two-story, lakefront home is a true Maine lake house - a storied family retreat that was rebuilt and named in honor of the family patriarch. So much is close by, from the stunning landscapes of Acadia National Park (29 miles) and Bar Harbor (34 miles) to the slopes of Hermon Mountain Ski Area (24 miles). Tee off at the Lucerne Golf Course (two miles), explore the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands (23 miles), or time your visit for the wonderful Blue Hill Fair (26 miles). This is a place for sparkling days spent outdoors - bringing the beach chairs down to the lakeshore, barbecuing on the spacious deck, and enjoying the shade of the forest canopy. After a day of swimming or kayaking, gather around the firepit for s'mores and stories of the afternoon's adventures. The house has a beautiful openness to it, from the lofty ceilings and exposed crossbeams to the windows framing the trees and lake at every turn. Everything was designed for special family gatherings - a great room with a smart TV, a sunroom that's perfect for board games, and a polished eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including double ovens, an in-island gas range, and a French-door fridge). At night, you'll find one bedroom with direct access to the deck on the main floor and four more rooms upstairs - one of which is a bunk room that's ideal for kids. Things to Know The fireplace and pellet stove are not for guest use. Streaming services are available with guests' own account credentials. Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.
