Company information

Michael and Stephanie lived for many years in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. Michael owned a graphic design/advertising agency and Stephanie was a stay at home mom, both raising two sons. She was also involved in their sons schools and various ladies charities. Winters were spent skiing at Dodge Ridge and summers found them living in Twain Harte. When Michael decided to sell the company, they decided to tear down the old cabin and build a bed and breakfast - which they did!

Pure elegance in a wilderness setting! McCaffrey House is a delightfully charming 3-story B&B nestled in a quiet forest hollow of the Sierra Mountains. Impossibly romantic guestrooms with forest views, fire stoves, and cozy beds. This amazing inn is close to Yosemite, wineries, lakes, golf courses, a ski resort and historic gold towns.

Neighbourhood information

We really don't live in a neighborhood - we live in a forest hollow surrounded by giant cedars, pines and oaks. We have lots of birds, squirrels and quiet. We are a couple of minutes from the town of Twain Harte. We are an hour to the gate of Yosemite, an hour to Calaveras Big Trees, 25 minutes to Columbia State Park, 20 minutes to Pinecrest Lake, we are minutes from The Stanislaus National Forest, 15 minutes to Sonora, 20 minutes to Jamestown, and 45 minutes to Murphy's. We are close to rivers, lakes, golf courses, gold towns, fishing, boating, skiing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing. ice skating, gold panning, wineries and wine tasting, live theatre, tennis, outdoor summer concerts, and so much more!
