Nestling on the slopes of its own mountain, the dramatic Kasteelberg, the surrounds are wheatlands, vineyards and olive groves, creating a distinctive touch of the Mediterranean in Africa. Fall in love with the country atmosphere There are local projects worth visiting like the Riebeek Kasteel Community Garden Project, where locals have their own allotment vegetable gardens, the Steel Band Project run by David Wickham, and the Community Theatre.
