Red Bench Cottage, is a typical Cape West Coast cottage, located in the area of Britannia Bay, 5 kms from St Helena Bay. Red Bench Cottage is located in Lampies Baai, a Coastal Estate, bordering the Golden Mile Beach. Golden Mile Beach is a 5 min drive or a 15 minute walk away. Red Bench Cottage has 3 bedrooms - 2 downstairs with a shared full bathroom. The main bedroom on suite is upstairs. A patio with braai facility is upstairs alongside a great open plan living area, offering a lounge , flat screen TV , DSTV, a dining area & a fully-equipped kitchen, with dishwasher & O2 filtered water tap. Guests can relax & enjoy the upstairs patio, prolific birdlife, beautiful sunsets, & Weber or braai facility. Humpback Whales, Heaviside, Dusky, & common dolphins are local to the beaches in the area. Southern Right Whales come into the bay to calve from August to November. Saint Helena Bay is 5 kms way & has all the amenities for day to day shopping. The quaint fishing village of Paternoster, with great restaurants is 15.8 kms away. Activities in the area include, MTB trails, fishing, coastal walks, Golf, kayaking, & windsurfing. We speak your language
I enjoy travel, camping, riding, & great food & wine. Hosting guests is rewarding , when I see that they have had a great holiday, based from Red Bench Cottage.
The West Coast & Swartland are unique areas, offering superb beaches, beautiful mountains & rivers. Vineyards & great restaurants in beautiful villages are a short drive away. Olives are grown in this area and produce world-class Olive Oil & Olives. The area offers exceptionally beautiful rocky bays & coves along the coast , from Langebaan to Lamberts Bay. Here you will find great restaurants and exceptional beaches.
