I don't think I liked anything. The shower was okay. It looks and feels like a dormitory for students. No feeling of a real hotel. No breakfast just a voucher to eat at another place. If a foreigner then you will struggle.

1. location is fair, not the closest but within reach of Kaohsiung Arena station 2. I really see how they put efforts into the design of every room, each with a unique style. 3. the space of the room is big 4. I went there during the last day of the year, the fee has thus been raised up but when at its normal, it has a pretty competitive price to be honest. 5. freebies (snacks, fresh fruit) at your disposal 24/7 6. plenty of TV channels to watch: BBC, CNN, FRANCE24, Arirang, NETFLIX, YOUTUBE...etc, you name it.

Great rooms: well designed, comfortable, clean. Staff were great and happy to help always. Made us feel welcome. The free coffee was also a plus, very fortunate to have. Breakfast was also great, although at a steeper price of 200. Although, no reason to complain as there's a 7-11 across the road.

The best thing about Riverside is that it is very close to the airport. I needed to catch an international flight to Tokyo at 7:00 in the morning and could have walked if necessary. The hotel very kindly got me a ride with a shuttle.

Brilliant location, the best in all of Kaohsiung (it would be hard to find a better one). There is a night market right next door, but the entrance to the building is before the market starts, not inside (so you don't have to squeeze through people). There is a great self-service laundry nearby, which is also a plus if you want to do your laundry. You can do self-check-in after official hours, which is a big plus. The rooms are large and clean. They are a bit "old", but the price, cleanliness and location mean that the rating can only be 10,0.

Very friendly owner and very helpful too. The place is clean and tidy. Close to MRT. Possibility to do the laundry and a place to hang it to dry overnight.
