The staff were very cheerful and extremely helpful. The rooms although not huge were spotlessly clean with comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and Sarah-Jane who worked during breakfast service was great, she couldn't do enough for us and is an asset to the hotel.

Downton Abbey in the heart of Manchester . Step back in time, incredible from the outside , amazing on the inside. From the many smartly suited reception staff, concierge and guest services staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The elevated Martini style bar just opposite reception entices you to try out there many offerings, with that extra temptation of delectable savouries and snacks. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hotel was kept at the perfect temperature throughout. Had no time to try the spa out. Location wise is perfect , China town 5 minutes walk. Sports bars, would recommend 'The Box' just over 5 minutes away. Lots of trendy bars on the same street as the hotel. Tram stop just 5 minutes away, we went to the Trafford centre, 1 change, same stop, £3.80. 20 minutes on the tram. We look forward to staying again next time we are in Manchester.
