How to find the words to describe the best accommodation we have ever stayed in over the course of a lifetime?!! The word “paradise” tends to be bandied around loosely, but we have no hesitation in describing Villa Irrawaddy as paradise - and far and away the greatest villa we have ever encountered in our vast travels! Imagine a villa fit for the likes of Mick Jagger or other celebrities/rock-stars - Vill Irrawaddy is that place! It’s how “the other half lives” or holidays, but amazingly we got to experience that “other half” for 6 magical nights! Hard as it is to describe the experience, bullet points are probably the easiest way: * the infinity pool is probably the star of the show - easily the size of an entire resort pool, but remarkably we get to have it to ourselves! The view from the pool is simply breathtakingly magical - and always at the perfect temperature. It’s easily the greatest pool we’ve encountered in our lives. * The spaciousness and design of the 4 bedrooms and bathrooms is just perfection. The interior design - and aesthetics - is just something to behold - everything so tasteful, so high-end - seamlessly merging Indonesian influences with great design and functionality. Objects of art and of craft adorn almost every corner, but it’s far from cluttered - it’s brilliantly thought out, with an incredibly aesthetic eye! * The staff are simply wonderful. Nyoman and Kadek were there every day to ensure our every need was met - often preempting our needs in fact. Genuinely warm, and incredibly helpful, they were a joy to interact with every day. Kadek even played chess and pool with our 10-yr old! * The location is about 20 -30 min out of Lovina central - which is part of what makes the villa so serene and such an escape. And why the vista is so spectacular, perched (alone) on a hillside overlooking jungle and sea! And with Manis (the fantastic driver they organised for us) taking us everywhere we wanted to go, we never felt isolated.

We spent 3 great days in the Lovina region. The lovingly and originally designed and well-equipped villa is located directly on the sandy beach with private access. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tours, e.g. by boat for snorkelling, can also be booked directly and start from the beach in front of the villa. The sunshine was fantastic. We would love to come back here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our stay at Istana Nagara, a stunning villa with breathtaking views. One of the highlights was having a personal assistant named Adi, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed, demonstrating remarkable helpfulness and respectfulness. Picking and dropping us everywhere, arranging the classes, ordering and brining food and handling and enquiry. In fact, all the staff members were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. We had the opportunity to participate in a refreshing and informative healthy drinks class with Trisna, where she shared valuable insights about the various nutritious beverages available at the facility. Moreover, we treated ourselves to the most serene and relaxing massages provided by the skilled professionals, Wati and Sari.both are lovely, friendly and professional. The villa itself is a masterpiece. Comfortable beds and couches. Warmed private pool and a jacuzzi with a stunning view. It has a coffee machine and oven and a microwave. All is included. The resort has a variety of classes inside including yoga, cooking and traditional culture. Even a coffee plantation and tasting experience and they sell coffee in it cheaper than local shops. All in all they know how to give a five star services. Breakfast is remarkably delicious. The staff and the property are all available on WhatsApp.

Beautiful and quiet garden, helpful and friendly owner, nice staff. Would go there again. Owner can organise day trips which is great. Free shuttle to Lovjna centre to go out for dinner and drinks, although we had some lunches and dinners at the restaurant in the hotel which was very good and convieneint. Very recommendable, great value for the price.

I had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful with well-maintained grounds, everything was exceptionally clean, and the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. The service provided was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and pleasant experience!

Umah Lusa is a beautiful, boutique hotel perched on the hillside over looking the sea, lush vegetation and the volcanoes of Java in the distance. The attention to detail in designing the 6 stunning suites is outstanding and we were blown away by it all. The reception room, the dining area, the pool and hot tub, the spa and gardens - all were stunningly put together and maintained.

The room was big and excellent. Location is perfect to get to the beach. The owner and his wife were very nice, helpfull, flexible and social. They really care about your stay. When I come back to Lovina, I definetly would book at this guest house again!

Amazing boutique hotel in the hills of Lovina 😍 The rooms are really lovely, pool and the view is amazing and the staff is really friendly. The staff accomodated our every need and always asked if need something more. The location is remote and nice and quiet. You can really relax and take the time for yourself. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definately go back ❤️🙏

The compound is huge with a beautiful pool, adequate parking and outdoor seating. The master bedroom (the only one we used) was spacious with an huge TV and comfortable bed. Interactions with the property were easy via WhatsApp and they were very responsive. The area has multiple places to eat and drink.
