A very well run and thoughtfully designed studio. The room is private, large, comfortable, has a lot of amenities (Nespresso machine, kitchenette, breakfast cereal, fresh milk, large shower,comfy robes etc). There is great attention to design and it looks like something you’d see in a best home magazine. Lovely views. The hosts are warm and helpful.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kaimai Sunset Bed & Breakfast, and it exceeded all our expectations. As a family of three, we felt incredibly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The charming guest house boasts stunning garden views and a cozy patio, providing a serene atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. Despite being a bit remote, the peaceful surroundings made us feel like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our accommodation was nothing short of exceptional. The air-conditioned guest house featured one bedroom, one bathroom, and all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From the plush bed linen and towels to the well-equipped kitchenette, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure our utmost comfort. The terrace with mountain views was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast prepared by our gracious hosts. We were delighted to find a variety of options to choose from, including fresh fruits that were a delightful touch. The hospitality extended to us made us feel truly special, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our day. Overall, our time at Kaimai Sunset Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome to the impeccable accommodation and delicious breakfast, every aspect of our stay was simply perfect. This hotel has a special factor in that it has a natural thermal spa in its garden! What a delight to be able to try out the 3 ponds next to the river, where we saw a visiting seal. All the meals we had were exceptional value and quality abs the staff were warm and welcoming.

Excellent choice off the beaten track, ideal place to spend four nights visiting the local area. Owner works really hard and is friendly and helpful. Husband also has a good sense of humour. Breakfast provisions were excellent and the surrounding gardens are a real pleasure to wander around and wake up to each morning.

Beautiful, romantic, safe environment, comfy and tidy room. Nice, "self-build" breakfast. Hot tube was awesome. Very friendly staff.

The hosts were hospitable, kind and friendly. The room was amazing with a comfy bed and an amazing ensuite that included toiletries as well as a few bonus toiletries you won't always expect. There was adequate space and a variety of pillows to choose from as well as extra blankets. The breakfast selection and coffee were great. The place was clean and tidy and super cosy. The hosts even had an amazing book filled with ideas on where to eat locally and activities.

The best fittings and fixtures, remote, quite, it hits all the boxes for a nice night of relaxation. You won't want to head into town, so bring some snacks and a drink and enjoy.
