Best hotel in Koh Phi Phi.... the spot, the garden, the vibe, the beach, the breakfast, the bed, the staff.. all great.

The kind of place the expression 'heavenly' was made for. I don't say this lightly but I think this place is one of the most wonderful hotels Ive ever been to so much so we changed our booking and stayed longer. Im almost loathed to write this review as Im hoping to keep this place my little secret but everything about it from start to finish was beyond exceptional. From what was a very fortuitous last minute booking I consider myself to now be a 'loyal Layana fan' and am planning another trip or two back next year. This place has a very boutique personable relaxed vibe. You can tell from the moment they place the 'layana lei' on you this place is not a chain and is being managed to very high expectations & all is under the careful eye of the amazing Franck who is quite the holiday tastemaker! Everything has been thought about from start to finish- even at the airport you are taken care of! Make no mistake this place is high end and delightfully with none of the gauche that some high end hotels can sometimes have. Really outstanding. There is a very laid back, cool but without being pretentious vibe here - the staff are beyond wonderful & theres tasteful, beautiful decor everywhere you look. The hotel is in a lovely spot in Koh Lanta & has two gorgeous infinity pools overlooking the ocean- one is even saltwater. The rooms are big & very comfortable. We particularly loved the linens & the balcony & lovely gardens outside it was all so super peaceful. Great location too the hotel backs onto on a long white sandy beach with loads of little places to eat and get a massage along it if you want to venture outside (which we rarely did!) The food was really good here, we loved the menus & the breakfasts were fabulous theres nothing you cant get. Theres also a really great gym that was very 'Third Space' with lovely air con in case you need to work off the magnificent brekkie.

The location was perfect. Easy access to bars & restaurants all down the beach. Private pool was amazing. Clean and comfortable. Villa was spacious and double room also huge. Out of 4 different accommodations we stayed at between krabi and kph Lanta this was our favourite. Would definitely stay again

Great overall, Value for money!

Excellent hotel located on Klong dao beach. Very helpful and smiling staff. Clean room with all amenities. The restaurant and the bar of the hotel were the best in the region. We had a sea view room , faced directly the beach and we could see the sunsets from our balcony.

Booked 7 nights and extended it by one more night. We loved the place, the hotel, comfort and quietness/privacy. Taking the breakfast with sea view and finishing the day with the sunset on the Rocky bar were great times. At our request, the bedroom was changed to a higher level/floor to enjoy better the sea view. The room was spacious with a big terrace. Please consider you are staying on a island and we may not have same comfort than on a Continent. So shower may have low pressure or some minor insects entering the room - nothing abnormal. We have seen some previous reviews complaining about the costs of the food/restaurant. Yes it is more expensive (maybe 7-10 euros more per dish) than other local places, but let's not forget the comfort, the view, the hygiene aspects compared to locals places + you dont need to commute. There are few places around the hotel at walking distance 10-15 mins walk,,, which were also nice. otherwise taxi needs to be taken. It is also easy to book a scooter directly from the hotel or have day trip on the boat. I would recommend to book one of those (avoiding Phi-Phi Island if you want more quietness other than crowed place). We initially booked the Twin Lotus which got cancelled by our fault and with no doubt we were happy to stay at Avani + hotel.

The staff are so kind, friendly and accommodating. Everything was so professional and well done. The room was incredible, the view was incredible - it made my trip to Phi Phi so memorable.

All was great - but mainly the staff. They helped with everything and got us better price everywhere
