The location is about 15 mins drive from Stelly on the road to Franschoek (20 mins drive) so ideal to explore both. There were several vineyards within short walking or driving, we ate at a couple and the food was decent, the views even better! Orange-ville itself was excellent, very comfortable with some nice touches. Breakfast was buffet style with fresh cooked eggs so was filling. I had a back spasm and needed some manipulation. The hosts sorted that day which was typical of their really supportive approach. I would recommend.

Beautiful setting in beautifully kept wildlife-friendly gardens, with wildlife pond you could swim in, and fabulous on-site organic veg garden on the side of the mountain. Very eco-friendly, excellent, elegant food, and friendly but unobtrusive service from all staff. A peaceful retreat.

We absolutely loved our stay in the cozy Orchard Suite and the fabulous wine tasting hosted by Lola. Lola and her family are so welcoming and made us feel at home. Mitres Edge is a fantastic wine farm with some of the most phenomenal wine in SA. We also loved all their beautiful dogs and will definitely be making a return visit when we back in the area.
