Hotel was very comfortable and clean and located in an excellent area for exploring Budapest - easy walking distance to many of the sites that I wanted to see. I felt safe even walking alone at night. Staff were very professional and friendly - we had a minor concern with our room and the staff member Xnie made changes to the room assignment immediately to address our concerns. Breakfast was excellent - very tasty and extensive number of choices. Coffee orders individually taken, prepared and served promptly - very good! Arrived early in the day - but were welcomed, offered coffee and fresh pastry and allowed to store our luggage until check-jn later in the day - much appreciated!

Mystery Hotel Budapest, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a historically themed luxury hotel located in the 6th district in downtown Budapest, in an eclectic palace built in the 19th century. This 5-star hotel offers free WiFi and in-house spa and wellness area. Hungarian State Opera is 900 m away and St. Stephen's Basilica is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. We had an amazing stay at Mystery Hotel Budapest. Very clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere, nice staff . We loved the breakfast. The options might not be super big but there is a lot of variation from day to day which keeps it interesting. Some people wrote in their reviews there was only a normal coffee machine but this is actually not true. You can ask any staff or at the bar to get barrista coffee/sparkling wine/poached and fried eggs and they are happy to prepare it without additional charge. The coffee barrista is very skilled and drew pumkins in my coffee for halloween. Maybe its a well kept secret part of their theme as many people didn't order proper coffee :D Also the spa area is nice, there is a small warm pool, a steam room and a sauna. They also have a rooftop and a jacuzzi but both was closed when we visited.

Some have views of the street and some have views of the courtyard. Everything was perfect-friendly and helpful staff,beautiful and modern clean rooms, perfect and abundant breakfast. Location is great, in the centre. If we ever go back,we'll definitely stay there again.
