The staff were absolutely incredible; we had to have our bags shipped down to Osaka due to smaller stops in Tokyo and Mt Fuji (too short to be able to guarantee the bags would arrive on time) which is a crazy distance. The ladies at the Information Centre were able to explain the process for this and even drew us a map to get to the shuttle bus to the train station and encouraged us to take a jacket and do a practice walk the night before. The tour we booked was also fantastic, and the food and local beer was great too. The room was incredible; it was so affordable for the space you're given and relaxing in the onsen overlooking the ballpark was an unforgettable experience, they even have snacks and a bar! Everyone we came across was so lovely, even other people staying were interested to hear about our trip as it's not a common place to find foreigners.

The spacious apartment has 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. The air-conditioned unit at the property features a hot tub and a dressing room. This apartment is non-smoking and soundproof. Very clean, comfortable, and with many thoughtful and convenient touches included. Great location near the main street where many shops/restaurants were located, and also very close to the canals. We accidentally went to the wrong property at first, but the owner very kindly gave us a ride to the correct place and explained everything to us.

Guests also enjoy access to the indoor pool and fitness centre, as well as the sauna and hot tub. The peoperty is very comfortable especially the rooms were amazingly devided! The bathtub with mountainview was devine. The restaurants were one by one amazing. The little cafe is as well a plus. They could add a little general story in the hotel, however when i asked for a band-aid they imediately brought it to my room. I could for ever how everything was amazing!

At the aparthotel, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. walking distance to the otaru canal where otaru's main attraction is. we reached slightly earlier and receptionist was available to check us in. if you need parking, do inform the hotel in advance so that designated parking spot can be reserved for you. we parked our car and walked to otaru canal for sightseeing & dinner. the stroll to and fro the hotel is pretty nice, some slopes but totally doable. free parking onsite. room is clean and spacious, well equipped with amenities, including a washer/dryer. will recommend!

The staff were professional and organized, allowing us to stay in their lobby with a scenic view of the snow, river, and mountains while we waited for check in. We were provided with local snacks and drinks and our room was ready 30 minutes early. The dinner was delicious and well-portioned, favorites being the steamed rockfish and pumpkin brûlée. Staff were attentive throughout the meal and offered to refill our rice whenever we were out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish. We booked the suite with a private onsen and it was wonderful to soak and watch the snow fall outside. The staff also helped us reserve our taxi to the airport after check out and the overall process was very smooth.

Gorgeous location on the lake. Isolated from the world. Price value was good. Incredible Breakfast: make sure to try the hokkaido specialties. Staff is very nice. They don't speak much English but have endless patience speaking with phone translators. They offer a free shuttle bus to hotel guests. To get to the hotel from lake shikotsu village at 15:30 and 17:30. And to leave the hotel at 9am and 10am.
