The staff were absolutely incredible; we had to have our bags shipped down to Osaka due to smaller stops in Tokyo and Mt Fuji (too short to be able to guarantee the bags would arrive on time) which is a crazy distance. The ladies at the Information Centre were able to explain the process for this and even drew us a map to get to the shuttle bus to the train station and encouraged us to take a jacket and do a practice walk the night before. The tour we booked was also fantastic, and the food and local beer was great too. The room was incredible; it was so affordable for the space you're given and relaxing in the onsen overlooking the ballpark was an unforgettable experience, they even have snacks and a bar! Everyone we came across was so lovely, even other people staying were interested to hear about our trip as it's not a common place to find foreigners.

Ski rental on site and the shuttles were frequent and excellent. Early check-in was accommodated, loved the little Japanese PJs they gave us for our stay.

The staff were professional and organized, allowing us to stay in their lobby with a scenic view of the snow, river, and mountains while we waited for check in. We were provided with local snacks and drinks and our room was ready 30 minutes early. The dinner was delicious and well-portioned, favorites being the steamed rockfish and pumpkin brûlée. Staff were attentive throughout the meal and offered to refill our rice whenever we were out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish. We booked the suite with a private onsen and it was wonderful to soak and watch the snow fall outside. The staff also helped us reserve our taxi to the airport after check out and the overall process was very smooth.

To get to the hotel from lake shikotsu village at 15:30 and 17:30. And to leave the hotel at 9am and 10am.
