Very clean and friendly staff, the villa is cozy and there’s many spaces to relax on. Everything worked well and the Umma house team catered to all our needs. It’s better to prepare because there is a lot of mosquitoes

Great place to stay in Shela! We've got 2 spacious rooms on the highest floor with ocean and island view, connected by a huge terasse with places to lounge. Beds comfortable and equipped with a mosquito set. Ventilators working well, although the heat could not be beated. The staff was extremely helpful, satisfying all our needs, always smiling. The rooftop restaurant also has incredible views over the island and sea, sunrise and sunset with a breeze. Food - breakfast and dinner - was delicious. The place is highly recommended!

Beautiful accommodation with extra spaces for relaxing; host was kind

The host was friendly and available. We enjoyed the swimming lessons. The house was big and spacious and the atmosphere very relaxing. I highly recommend the facility.

Relaxed and spacious

Spacious and beautifully decorated Swahili house. We got upgraded on our arrival and had the huge upstairs room with the biggest bed we’ve ever seen! The balcony and rooftop lounge area were great for relaxing with incredible views. Very clean rooms. Nice breakfast including traditional Swahili foods as an option. The manager Joseph was outstanding - he went out of his way to show us around, finding various places and helping us organise our day. Huge thanks to Joseph for making our stay so enjoyable!

A beautiful place to stay in the heart of Shela. The penthouse suite was worth the extra cost and we enjoyed relaxing on our terrace. The swimming pool was perfect as were the comfy sunloungers. We especially enjoyed the communal Swahili dinner on our last night.

- Most of the staff are very friendly and willing to help you. - The breakfast is very complete and good. - The room is very spacious with bathroom and everything you need. The shower is very comfortable, despite the first day I had problems with hot water. - The location is excellent, in the center of Shella, 5 minutes from the beach and with a wide range of restaurants around. - You have the possibility to order food and the staff take it to the hotel.
