I stayed in Boutiquehotel Stadthalle for 2 nights during my recent visit in Vienna to celebrate my birthday. Thanks for the lovely greeting card and a cute little gift ! Its a nice eco hotel which actually focuses on sustainability. It was a wonderful experience for me as all staff members were very friendly and always smiling :) Rooms and bathroom facilities were clean and location is very convenient as close to Westbahn station so even if you are traveling with public transport like me that won't be an issue too :)) Even I enjoyed their daily morning breakfast, everything was fresh and organic ! :)) I am already looking forward for my next stay soon !

A wonderfully designed and furnished house, held in the style of the 20s. Truly a time-travel experience. Very convenient location, close to the city centre, but off the most touristy paths. Very comfortable beds, and excellent service! Also the bar downstairs is highly recommended!

Schönbrunn Palace

With 1441 rooms, Schönbrunn Palace was made for sleepovers. Originally intended as a hunting lodge, visitors can revel in the 17th-century luxury of the Habsburg monarchs, to whom the word ‘opulence’ meant very little. The extensive gardens include the fabulous Gloriette (Franz Josef’s breakfast room) and Tiergarten Schönbrunn, the world’s oldest zoo.

The carriage museum and zoo are both worth visiting.

The carriage museum and zoo are both worth visiting. If you have a Vienna City card which allows you to travel on the tram, busses and Ubahn you can get discounts at this and many other places, sometimes as much as 20%

A great old historical house in excellent condition.

A great old historical house in excellent condition. Used in countless movies. The vast grounds are well worth seeing in their own right. The grounds and rear exterior were used as stand-ins for Vienna streets, and the hotel Bond and Miss Milovy stay at in 'The Living Daylights'. I feel the Broccolis liked Vienna!

The evening concert was great, but I suggest you don’t purchase it with the dinner included. Go to dinner on your own. There’s a nice little Italian restaurant across the street that was just delightful…and, please have some of their home made ice cream.

Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is like stepping into a fairy tale. The building is stunning, and the gardens are like something out of a dream. It's got a really interesting history because it used to be a royal summer home. The tour inside the palace is great, and you can learn all about the people who lived there. Plus, it's in a good location, so you can easily get to other cool stuff in Vienna. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, and they give you a headset so you can explore at your own pace. Basically, if you're in Vienna, you've got to check out Schönbrunn Palace – it's a magical place filled with history and beauty.

We arrived there at 4 o'clock, convinced that everything would be open. But we were wrong. We could only see the state apartments (basically 3 or 4 rooms). I suggest you go earlier to have a proper tour of the palace. however, I think the real beauty of Schönbrunn are the majestic gardens and the Neptune fountain, the Gloriette and (literally) the forest around it.

If you want a guided tour, you should book in advance. We didn't get the tour, but we did the VR experience, which is a well produced show giving the history of the palace and of the Austrian monarchy.
