The staff were excellent and very welcoming and with positive attitude. Very helpful. You get the feeling they really enjoy working there. The property is clean and elegant with courtyards and beautiful art, the pool is stunning, the gym is in a beautiful space also. The museums and Parliament House are all a walk away, a bunch of beautiful restaurants and cafes on the water.

The hotel is really nice, beautiful old building, small garden in front and back, great room, and the staff are really helpful. The hotel also have grab and go room, where u can get free tap filter water, coffee and tea. There are other snacks but of course you need to pay for it. Enjoyed my stay in the hotel, the room is at the end of the hall, so it's quiet, in the morning have some breakfast in the garden. The best part is the gym, it's not your typical hotel gym, there are a lot of equipment and serious weight there. Also parking is free, just register it with the receptionist. The check out is at 11am, easy and smooth.

Disappointed with the lack of exhibits, great building but seen better in the State Capital cities galleries Selling the ridiculous blue poles and buying some more Australian art would be a great start

What a pity I had to give this rating.

What a pity I had to give this rating. It is not the collection of artworks, but simply the lack of maps, signage, and ease of navigating around the space. We come to see art, not to admire an architect's ego. We the Australian taxpayer, I think, deserve better than this: and it could be so easily fixed to bring it in line with other galleries in the world. Take the Guggenheim in northern Spain, for example; or the Louvre, or the Hermitage.

Thoroughly impressed by the collections of art at the National Gallery. A great, vast building to explore, and lots of incredible art on display. Not so impressed by the amount of people of all ages with mobile phones, arms outstretched, interrupting mine and other people's views of the artworks.

The gallery itself was great as usual but the relocation of the food stall outside the building despite umbrellas in wet and cold weather was in our view a bad move. Taxi service was almost unavailable despite an automated system inside the Gallery - the cabs never turned up despite 3 attempts
