Its a pilgrimage every soldier should make to remind them of the real cost of war. Be sure to witness the WWI ceremony nightly at 8:00 (20:00) at the Menin Gate! Arrive early to get a good place to stand. It is commendable that the people of Ypres/Leper have made good on their promise to always remember the soldiers who died in that war.
