Clean, nicely decorated room, with some sort of a Victorian vibe. Comfortable bed, good wifi; balcony - although it's usually cold and snowy outside at this time of the year - was a big plus. The breakfast was up to expectations as well. The gentleman at the reception kindly offered us both a free room upgrade and an early chek-in (although initially we only planned to leave our luggages, as we arrived more than an hour before the check-in time, Canada most likely being one of the countries with the atest check-in hours on the planet), which we much appreciated. The hotel itself - a nice brick-clad building on a rather quiet street - is within walking distance of both the main attractions and an underground train station (very convenient to those who reach the city by means of public transportation). Last but not least, we found some decent restaurants nearby.

The location is so convenient. You can walk everywhere.....to parliament hill, the art gallery, notre dame basilica, CF Rideau mall, Byward market and the Canadian Museum of Nature. The accommodation is apartment style with a queen bed, kitchen, living room, bathroom and office area. The staff were kind and helpful. They let us check in early. The breakfast is very good, lots of choices. We enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Ottawa.
