My recent stay at The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and professional – from helping with early arrangements for a special occasion for my parents to offering excellent dining recommendations, everything felt personalized and warm. The room my parents stayed in was beautiful and perfect for their celebration. While my own room had a slight odor initially, the team handled it promptly after I informed the front desk, which I truly appreciated. One moment that truly stood out was when I encountered a dishonest taxi driver attempting to overcharge me more than four times the normal fare. Several hotel staff members (three or four, in fact) came outside to support and assist me immediately. Thanks to their calm and assertive help, the situation was resolved, and I felt completely safe and looked after. I’m sincerely grateful to those staff members for going above and beyond – because of them, what could have been a distressing moment turned into a reminder that kindness and professionalism can shine through, even in the most unexpected situations. Overall, the experience was memorable, and I would happily recommend The Langham to friends and family. Thank you for making our stay so special – and for helping me end my Shanghai trip with a truly positive impression of the city.

Our stay at Opartment by Far East was absolutely wonderful! Traveling with young children can be challenging, but this accommodation made our experience so much smoother and more enjoyable. They accommodated to 2 extra rooms at very last minute notice because our previous accommodation was horrendous. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The fully-equipped kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for the kids, and the daily cleaning service ensured we could relax after a busy day exploring. The location was unbeatable—close to key attractions like Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the Bund, and People’s Square. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including family-friendly restaurants and a convenience store a few steps away from the hotel A special mention to the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their kindness and attention to detail, from helping with luggage to providing local tips, truly set this property apart. We can’t recommend Opartment enough for families or anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-located place to stay in Shanghai. I liked everything about it. location was great for my one-day-only stay in Shanghai this time. I got a room upgrade so had basically a suite. interior is superb. the staff at reception as well as their concierge were extremely helpful as I don't have any workable Chinese. They stored my luggage for the day (free service), gave travel advice, called taxi etc pp. I am planning to stay there again on my next trip to Shanghai.
