I was made feel very welcome on arrival.I was given lots of information related to the area and the activities that I was going to do. I was given directions to get to different places and advice about trains and transport. Frank( c) at Reception was extremely helpful and kind and was very pleasant and considerate. I enjoyed breakfasts at the Nikolai and I had 2 lovely meals in the evenings. The hotel was very comfortable and very central. It was easy to get to other destinations.

We were staying in the hotel for 5 days in October 2023. It was a family trip, combined with a business trip. We were with a child aged 3 y/o in the hotel. The hotel was outstanding. The location is just a few blocks away from one of the most famous sightseeing sites in Berlin - Checkpoint Charlie, and just 20 meters away from the underground station (metro). The transportation to and from the hotel was easy as you like. There are a lot of coffee shops and bakeries around, so even if you don't have breakfast included (we didn't), you have the chance to choose from a lot of things. There is a supermarket in a mall, like 100 meters away, REWE and Penny, you could even do some daily shopping. In the hotel building, just downstairs on the parter, there is one of the most famous Berlin and German restaurants - Maximilian's. The restaurant is with great traditional German cuisine and of course - great German beer. The staff is very friendly, even though they are not 24/7 on site. But they are very likely to help you via phone call. Our child was feeling great, because the room was extraordinary large, like an apartment. There was 2 big separate rooms with little kitchen, big hall with separately bathroom and WC. You have so much space for everything. And also you have a little balcony, which you can go out on and have some fresh air or a cigarette. Also the rooms are kept very clean.

all was super nice . We have been using this hotel already many times and will do for the next trips. I would advise to everybody this hotel. Also the recepsionist is very handsome and helpful.
