Grab a table at the cafe outside the Adlon and just sit for a bit with a drink and a snack - or have a meal; the food is great. Read up on the history and pay attention to the lines of the Cold War era walls in this area. - There's a great photo just inside the Adlon entrance that has the disabled ramp to really help you see where the walls were with relation to the Gate.Guest review byAngelaUnited States

Rooms are decorated by different artists , walls AND furnishings, so if you like funkiness you'll like this place. Coffee machine in lobby, 2€. A courtyard with tables and chairs. Hotel is right outside Friedrichstrasse station. Very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Dedicated Concierge for any questions that you might have about the hotel and anything else really, so you didn't have to queue at reception. It had everything we needed, including a proper kitchen, and the building itself was beautifully designed. The set up worked really well for us as a family, with a double bed in one room and the sofa bed made up as two singles, yet it still felt spacious.
