    We unfortunately didn't see the lights during the night, they were switched off, but make sure to go and see it then, it would be very beautiful, local friends told us usually the lights don't go off but we were unlucky.

    Amazing sight in day or night.

    Amazing sight in day or night. Nice seating on the riad/area leading up to the gate & easy access to Reichstag & River walk as well as the long road to the victory column - all worth a visit!

    Grab a table at the cafe outside the Adlon and just sit for...

    Grab a table at the cafe outside the Adlon and just sit for a bit with a drink and a snack - or have a meal; the food is great. Read up on the history and pay attention to the lines of the Cold War era walls in this area. - There's a great photo just inside the Adlon entrance that has the disabled ramp to really help you see where the walls were with relation to the Gate.

    Central location, good rooms, tasty breakfast. 5-10 mins walk from Alexnderplatz station, you can also walk (if you like walking) about 30-40 mins to Brandenburg Gates and Reichstag. Hotel has nice bar area past breakfast rooms. Lots of nice restaurants around.

    Perfect location for the U-Bahn and tram. Also walkable from the central station and Brandenburg Gate etc. The room was lovely and clean, with a very comfortable bed, and a good temperature (we didn't need to make any adjustments). The breakfast was outstanding - very fresh and a good choice, including some healthy options. (I wouldn't normally eat ham for breakfast but it was delicious so I couldn't resist!) The staff were friendly and helpful. I would return.

    Excellent location, overlooking the canal, close to Brandenburg gate, metro and amazing restaurants. The hotel room is small but clean and has everything you need. Great rooftop wellness centre and delicious buffet breakfast. Would highly recommend as a base for your Berlin travels.

    The neighbourhood is really nice - quiet area and not too far from the centre of Berlin. Took about 30 mins to get to Brandenburg Gate for example. The room decor was nice, lots of wardrobe space. WiFi also very fast. Decent shower, and hairdryer was also available.

    Central location, close to main touristic places (Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Museums in the new town, memorials, Tiergarten Park, Philarmonic as well as the older town with the Museum Island, Humboldt University, Berliner Dom). The hotel is close to public transport stations as Potsdamer Platz or Friedrichstrasse. The staff was very friendly, they were able to store the luggage after check-out and offered to post some postcards, as well. The room was clean, the internet had a good quality.

    The location suited us perfectly. We aren't into shopping but love food and the sites so for us this was a great place. The Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel is absolutely incredible, If you go there you will need cash. Best meal we had in Berlin. The metro is close, Checkpoint Charlie is just around the corner as is the Brandenburg Gate - well less than 1 km.
