Watch out for buses on the way to the Mermaid.

Watch out for buses on the way to the Mermaid. I went early evening and it was quiet. until a bus load of tourist from a country normally know for their polite behaviour had cameras in the their hands and push and stodd in fromt of anyone else trying to take pictures.

She was so sad and beautiful at the same time .

She was so sad and beautiful at the same time . I suggest to be there early am before 8 so you can have her all to yourself and take time with pictures and enjoy the surroundings . As we were leaving at 8:30am , a large group of tourists was arriving.

Ok. You have to see her. But prepare to be underwhelmed.

Ok. You have to see her. But prepare to be underwhelmed. She’s little. From land there will be so many tourists it will be hard to get a good view. People say go see her from one of the canal boat tours but then you don’t get to see her face as she looks to the land not out to sea. Either go super early or try in the evening.

We saw it the back of it first on the Netto harbor cruise, which was enough. It's small and we had no reason to see more. However, on a bike trip we did. Again - I guess you have to see it, but I wouldn't make a special trip to get there.

For those visiting Copenhagen there seems to be a great desire to visit the statue, located on the river and easily accessible for pictures, which must be placed in your visit to the city album. To be honest what other places have you heard of in Copenhagen before you arrived, locally the guides don’t speak highly of it, but I for one have the pictures and the keyring, a visit to Copenhagen without the Little Mermaid would be a miss whatever the locals think.

The location was great and I could walk to many attractions and find dining, shopping the statue of the little mermaid. The hotel room was super clean and I loved the retro decor. The Bar and Dining room are nice and offer meals.

It was a converted historic property that was very neat and clean. While I prefer having a TV in my room, they didn’t have them, but it was so charming, I didn’t miss it. It was also just a short walk to shopping and not that far of a walk to the Little Mermaid statue.

Location was outstanding. On a canal with beautiful boats, walk along the water to the little mermaid, steps to the 5 royal palaces, a few blocks to the bustling area of Nyhavn. Rooms were beautiful, beds super comfy, and the windows opened up fully.
