Eiffel Tower

It doesn’t get much more romantic than gazing out across the city of love with your favourite person in the world. Maybe that’s the reason why hundreds of people drop down on one knee at the top of the tower each year. The dizzying heights and stunning views alone are enough to give anyone butterflies, but a meal at the magical ‘Le Jules Verne’ restaurant might just seal the deal.

I would recommend visiting the Eiffel Tower for its iconic status and breathtaking views of Paris. Standing at 1,083 feet, it offers stunning panoramic sights from its observation decks. You can take the elevator or climb the stairs for a more adventurous experience. The surrounding Champ de Mars park is perfect for a picnic, and the tower is beautifully illuminated at night, making it a romantic spot. Whether you choose to go up or admire it from below, the Eiffel Tower is a must-see landmark.

I didn't go up because I have done that before but it is worth while to go to the base and see just how enormous this structure is. The base is a block apart. Great park where the tower is and lot's of nice eateries around here as well.

We were happy just going to the tower and not going up in it. There are several other places around town to get good views of Paris. Check out the night view of the tower from the Trocodero. Be aware that the metro gets extremely crowded with people viewing the tower at night and you may have to wait for a few trains to get a spot.

What an amazing structure .. we did a skip the line tour , which was fine. Save your money , don’t buy the tiny plastic flute of champagne at the top. And don’t buy anything in the gift shop…everything is way overpriced. We bought a fridge magnet of the tower from a street seller …just a block away and paid 2 euro for the exact same thing that sells in the Eiffel Tower gift shop for 8 e

More ladies bathroom and less lady who cares for the bathroom nicer, Person closed the bathroom with out explanation and told everyone to go to exit 2 which meant we had to go out of the grounds and get back in line to come in again. However, the elevator management were helpful and polite. Thank you

Plan weeks ahead, buy tickets online, be ready for long lines - but rest assured, it's all worth the views. Summit may be closed at any time, so just know that you may be limited to seeing Paris from the 2nd floor (and note that it's pretty windy there). Ignore the peddlers selling you small Eiffel towers as well as the ladies attempting to make you sign some made up petitions (as a prelude for asking for a 'donation').

Right in the heart of Marais district Hotel National Des Arts was beyond beautiful. Room was spacious, the balcony overlooking the stress/church was wonderful to enjoy each night. Rooftop bar was insane with great views of Paris including Eiffel Tower and more. Staff were friendly and attentive. Hotel restaurants and bars were great too. Decor was stunning, I just can’t recommend this hotel enough!!! Every corner and detail was true Parisian style.

It was just a 15-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On our first night, we had a room on the first floor, but we asked to be moved to a higher floor. They kindly gave us a room with an Eiffel Tower view at no extra cost, even though that room was usually more expensive. The room size was also much better compared to other hotels we’ve checked in Paris.

It was amazing! The view is unbelievable! Not only you can see the Eiffel Tower and a lot of other buildings in the centre of Paris, but from the other side you have great view of Sacre Couer! I really hope, I will be back! The apartment is small and a little crooked, but it felt really authentic, like I was visiting an old french friend :) And even for 4 people it was manageable, the kitchen had all we needed. And the host is a very nice person, we met to receive the keys

I absolutely love Paris and this location, which is just next door to The Louvre museum is the perfect spot. Still really close to the Eiffel Tower and River Seine, but also tucked away enough from the usual hustle and bustle of being more central. The hotel is one I would consider to be of luxury standard, with a great private spa (for two) and great chefs in-house. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was perfect for breakfast outside each day.

The location is wonderful, a 5-10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, in a quiet area that feels a bit more residential and less touristy but also very safe. The hotel itself is idyllic, beautiful and old, the rooms are furnished with antique furniture and it almost feels like you’ve stepped back in time. The amenities were great, daily room cleaning, comfy bed, and the balcony with the view of the Eiffel Tower, exactly what you want for your stay in Paris!

Right in the heart of the saint germain area - with countless cafes, boulangeries and restaurants at your doorstep. Very cute little hotel that has a lovely Parisian feel. Not too far from all the big tourist sites - easy lime bike or slightly longer walk over to see the Eiffel Tower, super close to the louvre. But despite being so close to all these things - doesn’t feel too crowded of busy.

What guests said about Eiffel Tower:

  • if one goes to the Louvre you acquire headsets.

if one goes to the Louvre you acquire headsets. It is pretty amazing viewing a painting of Napoleon crowning Josephine and the historical significance of this amazing piece of art is explained in the most beautiful artistic voice. Captivating... , not just this one painting the whole museum of priceless treasures. I felt honoured to view this amazing collection. The artifacts are breathtaking. It is amazing riding a double decker bus and wearing a headset. Two trips around the city and you are most familiar with the sights and their historical significance to start your journey. Plaques in doorways and on statue's leave the visitor a good over view of the past. A trip to Versailles again headsets that advise the visitors the past. The streets, the cobblestones the architecture, the open markets and cafe's, the preservation of the past intact is so very amazing to a first time visitor. Paris is exciting! Paris is busy. Paris is steeped in culture and is bigger than life itself. I stood beneath the Eiffel Tower and looked up trying to imagine the past and the men that built this magnificent structure. The residents of Paris make their city come to life. They are proud of their city. Very clean and orderly.

  • Skip the Louvre & the Champs-Elysees, stroll the Tuilleries...

Skip the Louvre & the Champs-Elysees, stroll the Tuilleries and the Latin Quarter instead, & talk to people, but remember you're in THEIR country so learn some basic French (please, thank you, G'day, G'eve, etc.) - you'll find a lot of people who speak English. Use the Metro and the "river taxi" (that's what I call it, anyway). DO enjoy cafe au lait often at outdoor cafes, look at around and up at the old buildings, take your time and soak it all in. Don't waste money on 4 & 5, or even 3 - star hotels & "fancy" restaurants - see where the most French are eating and try those places. But, I'm biased and fluent in the language. One can "do" Paris in 3 days - Musee d'Orsay, Musee Marmottan (Monets!!!), Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame, and if you must, the Arc de Triomphe, but it's not worth the hassle). Skip Versailles, go to Fountainbleau (you can get a R/T ticket at the Metro station (subway, train, bus). Hotel in the Latin Quarter.

Find all the hidden playgrounds, visit the jardin du luxembourg and budget for carousel rides. A good view of the city can be found at the top of the wheel/roue within the jardin des tuileries rather than queuing for the tour Eiffel or scycraper.
