It is very interesting and loved seeing it. Buy tickets on line if you can to save standing in lines or go early in the day. Note there are a lot of stone steps to climb and although the garden is nice it is not worth the extra cost. We found out the hard way that if you go in the garden to exit the garden you have to climb up a round circular steps back into the palace. The guard did not like it that we went back down into the garden as my fear of heights kicked in.Guest review bySusanCanada

The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is clean and hygienic. Although it's an old building, it's well-maintained with new facilities and excellent quality. It is not a high end hotel by any means but the price was right. The neighborhood was very dodgy but that can be said for the whole of central Avignon these days. Having to pay a "breakage deposit" was a first for me but the reception were very polite about it. Host was very quick to respond. Apartment was beautiful especially the kitchen - everything needed to cook. Stairs were a bit steep with luggage but manageable. This apartment was spacious and well appointed and gave us some much needed respite from days of living out of suitcases in smaller hotel rooms. We could finally cook ourselves a meal too and save a few EUR for a change. Finally the location was great.
