Short drive to isle of skye (btw brilliant, but not outdone by other Scottish country scenery!). But the real gem was the 100m walk to eilean donan castle. All the rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. Lovely views over Loch Long right outside the house. Cuillan Mountains, Eilean Donan Castle about 5min walk. Clean, comfortable, great facilities including en-suite bathroom in our bedroom. Dining table with fresh flowers! - lounge has TV with Iplayer etc. Location is superb - really quiet yet just 1 minute’s drive from the main road to Skye, Plockton, Glenelg, Torridon etc. Also it is a lovely short walk from the doorstep to Eilean Donan Castle and The Clachan pub.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom

The location was wonderful. We enjoyed being able to walk to Eilean Donan castle. We could also see Eilean Donan lit up at night, reflecting on the loch. You could walk across the bridge to the local pub. There was a fabulous cafe across the road which changed to a pizzeria at night. We had a lovely stay at the Sheiling in Dornie.
