It's fabulous, but crowded -- try and pick a time when the crowds are less. The climb up is steep, so be prepared (it was May when I was there and warm). The only downside is the stupid selfie takers who barely look around at the wonderful buildings, site, and view. They spoil it for others when then can. We were near everything and had everything we needed for our family. The roof deck is a must visit with a glass of wine and a view of the Parthenon. Something to note: it is right the in the middle of a bustling part of Athens. The restaurants and bars stay open until the wee hours and you can hear music all night.
