Beautiful apartment with super comfy bed and great shower. Reception staff were lovely and so helpful. The pool was nice and shaded (though this meant it never got warm!), a great quiet space in the middle of the city.

The facility exceeded expectations, which were small. The proximity of the airport, reception available all day, at least good opinions from travelers. The windows of the balcony had double protection completely protecting against sounds from the outside. The air conditioner was flawless. He worked quietly. It was a pleasant surprise that an open buffet was launched an hour earlier especially for my family because we had to leave the hotel before 7:00. Receptionist extremely polite. And yet we were finishing our 3-week stay in Crete and we were immune to the kindness and hospitality of the Cretans. However, it surprised us with its kindness. He was always asking what he could help us with, if we needed anything, if it was comfortable and if everything was okay. It was nice. He specially arranged hot crossainty buns for us despite the bakery being closed.

Taking the city bus is very convenient, no need for a taxi or special tour to get there. Bring your own interpretation materials or guide book, the English & Greek signage on site is minimal - you don't even get a paper map to use. Do not go if it is hot.

Nice but somewhat disappointing because there's actually not much to see. It is more the suggestion than a view of what it was. In summer months, it is highly recommended to visit the site early morning because it gets really, really hot.

Glad I visited heraklion museum first to see the real artifacts. Feel like the original dig would have looked very different to what Arthur Evans created. Still very interesting. We downloaded a free audio guide on our mobiles, so we could go at our own pace. Brought a sandwich and water.

It was awesome with a private guide that we had.

It was awesome with a private guide that we had. Lots of signage for the sites that you see there, but get a good guide if you can. Also, get there as early as possible. Even in late September, it was getting really crowded by late morning.

Most of monuments were restored by an archeologist (!?)

Most of monuments were restored by an archeologist (!?) almost 100 year ago. He used his imagination and reinforced concrete, not knowing ancient art at all. Even paintings are fake. Anyway, Crete is a beautiful island, rich of history and beautiful nature
