Mary is a superb historian.
Mary is a superb historian. She guided us through the history of Bunratty Castle and the grounds. Do not leave without talking to her. Ask any member of staff and you will be guided to where she is on the grounds. I assure you this lady is gifted in sharing her knowledge and welcomes you. She is a credit to the estate. I have been to Bunratty castle and folk park many times and...
I have been to Bunratty castle and folk park many times and I’m equally delighted with the experience every time I return. The park itself is a wonderful charming glimpse into Irish history/culture and exploring the castle itself is outstanding!. My daughters and I love staying overnight nearby so we can enjoy the outstanding medieval dinner show in the evening in the actual banquet room of the castle. (Note that you can only explore the entire castle during the day, the dinner experience is limited to the two main rooms)This park is easily accessible by using public transportation as the bus stops right in front of the castle. It’s only a 10 minute ride from Shannon airport so this is a great way to start or end your visit to Ireland.Guest review byTravelingLizUnited States
